Happy New Year! I pray you have a healthy and prosperous 2014.
I dont want to keep you so let’s get right into it. Normally I’ll take this time to tell you about all the things I plan to create, pursue or discover throughout the year. This year I think I’ll do something different. Today I want to talk about fear, faith and the pursuit of happiness.
Yesterday my business partner, Iziah, said some things that really stuck so I feel a sense of obligation to share, since it may speak to someone else on a mental, emotional or spiritual level.
To make a long story short he said that (I’m paraphrasing): “You’re insulting the most high if you are not living up to your full potential and utilizing the gifts (talents) given.” The question you have to ask yourself is; If you can’t work to produce in excellence, what did he train/prepare you for?
I interpret that simply as a call to push through your anxiety, fears or shortcomings to honor the Father. Let me put it in JDOT terms in case it’s still not clear. Don’t let the fear of a no, the ills or shortcomings of our forefathers, or doubt dictate your actions. Furthermore don’t let the aforementioned stand in the way of your blessing or your praise to the most high. By standing behind fear we’re giving away the very power God gave us. I pledge to honor our Father by being the best and giving the best I can. How about you? What’s standing in your way?

Great advice! I’m the only thing standing in my way.
